Pittis hotel was built in Osoppo in 1936, at the foot of the fortress. From then on the Pittis family runs it with constant dedication and commitment, in order to ensure its clients an impeccable service, together with kindness and helpfulness.In 1976 the hotel was completely destroyed by the earthquake; but the owners’s great will and love for this job led to its reconstruction standards requested by the market, preserving the friendliness and the quiet of a family environment. Here, every end of August, the largest gastronomy performance of the region takes place, the ham festival, with an attendance of 400.000 people.Osoppo boasts the biggest industrial pole of the region, with the wood, iron, steel, mechanical and rubber industry.For 3 years Osoppo has a1so given hospitality to the Rototom Sunsplsh festival, Reggae music performance, among the most important of Europe, which will take place from 21 to 30 June this year.Finally, on the second week-end of September there is an other performance worth seeing: “Alla scoperta della fortezza”. On this occasion the famous fortress is tinged with colours and smells of the past.
